The Late Arrivals Club




Founded by members of the RAF operating in the Western Desert of North Africa in June of 1941, the Late Arrivals Club was for those airmen forced to abandon their aircraft as a result of enemy action, and who made it back to their squadron. The motto of the club was "IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO COME BACK" and members earned the right to wear the Emblem of the Winged Boot on the left breast of their flying suit. They also received a certificate.
